How to enable cave flying on your ARK server

On some ARK maps, such as Genesis, flying inside caves or certain restricted zones is disabled by default.

If you want to allow players to use flying creatures in caves and similar areas, you can enable this through your server’s launch arguments.

Step 1) Open your console, select your server, and stop it using the STOP button.

Step 2) Once the server is stopped, open SETTINGS.

In the bottom-right section of the page, find the ADDITIONAL ARGUMENTS field.

Additional Arguments

NOTE

This field is used for settings that start with a dash -, such as:

-crossplay

Step 3) Add the cave flying argument - enter the following value in the ADDITIONAL ARGUMENTS field:

-ForceAllowCaveFlyers

Step 4) Return to the console and start your server again.

Cave flying is now enabled on your server.
