How to install and configure MultiAddonManager
MultiAddonManager is a Metamod plugin that lets your Counter-Strike 2 server load several Steam Workshop addons at the same time — custom sounds, models, MVP anthems, menus and more — and makes the players download them automatically.
MetaMod:Source must be enabled in SETTINGS > Variables.
How to install MultiAddonManager
Step 1) Download the latest MultiAddonManager-vX.X.X-steamrt3.tar.gz from the releases page and extract it on your computer.
Step 2) Go to your console and stop your server using the "STOP" button.

Step 3) Go to "FILE MANAGER", navigate to game > csgo and upload the addons and cfg folders from the archive. Detailed steps: How to upload Metamod plugins.

When you update MultiAddonManager, upload only addons/multiaddonmanager/bin/multiaddonmanager.so. Don't overwrite your multiaddonmanager.cfg — it contains your addon IDs.
How to find the ID of an addon
Open the addon in the Steam Workshop. The number at the end of the link is the ID, for example https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3328582199 → 3328582199.

How to configure it
Open game > csgo > cfg > multiaddonmanager > multiaddonmanager.cfg and set your addons:
mm_extra_addons "3328582199,3461824328"
mm_client_extra_addons ""
mm_cache_clients_with_addons 1
mm_cache_clients_duration 0
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
mm_extra_addons | Addons that the server downloads and mounts, and the players download when they join. Use this for sounds, models and other content. IDs are separated by commas, without spaces. |
mm_client_extra_addons | Addons that only the players download (the server doesn't load them). |
mm_extra_addons_timeout | Seconds before a player is timed out between the downloads of two addons. Default 10. |
mm_addon_connection_timeout | Seconds before a player is timed out while downloading the first addon. Default 30, 0 disables it. |
mm_addon_mount_download | 1 = download the addon on every mount, even if it's installed, so updates apply immediately. Default 0. |
mm_cache_clients_with_addons | 1 = remember which players already have the addons, so they don't reconnect on every map change. Default 0. |
mm_cache_clients_duration | How long the cache above is kept, in seconds. 0 = forever. |
mm_block_disconnect_messages | 1 = hide the "loop shutdown" disconnect messages when players reconnect to download an addon. |
mm_addon_debug | 1 = print extra debug info in the console. Use it only when testing. |
Set mm_cache_clients_with_addons 1. Without it every player reconnects on every map change to get the addons, which takes time and puts extra load on the server.
Set mm_extra_addons only in multiaddonmanager.cfg. If it is also in server.cfg or a gamemode config, the values overwrite each other. See Why mm_extra_addons must be set in only one config file.
Step 4) Save the file and start your server.

Useful console commands
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
mm_extra_addons | Shows the addons that are currently set. |
mm_download_addon 123456789 | Downloads an addon manually. |
mm_add_addon 123456789 / mm_remove_addon 123456789 | Adds / removes an addon from the list (applies after the next map change). |
mm_add_client_addon 123456789 / mm_remove_client_addon 123456789 | Adds / removes a client-only addon (applies to players who join later). |
mm_print_searchpaths | Shows every path the server has mounted. |
Since the CS2 update of October 22, 2026, a bug in the game can break the voice chat of players after a map change when workshop addons are loaded. See Voice chat stops working after map change.
