Rechecker
Verifies client file checksums on connect, so you can detect (and act on) modified game files — transparent models, cheat configs, custom sprites, etc.
Version: v2.7
Installation
Install from the game panel (recommended)
Step 1) Open your console and select your Counter-Strike 1.6 server.
Step 2) Go to TOOLS → Modules (the in-panel installer).
Step 3) Find Rechecker in the list and click INSTALL — the panel downloads it and places every file for you automatically.
Step 4) Set the CVARs / configuration shown below (if any), then RESTART the server.
Manual installation (FTP / File Manager)
Step 1) Download the archive above and unzip it on your computer.
Step 2) Open your console → File Manager (or FTP) and upload the rechecker folder into cstrike/addons/.
Step 3) Open cstrike/addons/metamod/plugins.ini and register the module on a new line:
linux addons/rechecker/rechecker_mm_i386.so
Step 4) Restart the server. Confirm it loaded with meta list in the server console.
Need the basics first? See How to upload plugins.
Configuration
You list the files to verify in resources.ini, one rule per line:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
<file> <action> <hash> | Check a file's MD5 and, on mismatch, run the action (e.g. CONSOLE, DROP, BAN). |
Example | models/player/vip/vip.mdl FORCE_CONSISTENCY — ensure a model matches the server's copy. |
File:
cstrike/addons/rechecker/resources.ini— edit it in the File Manager, then change the map or restart the server to apply.
Notes
Rechecker exposes AMXX natives, so most people drive it from a small AMXX plugin rather than editing resources.ini directly.
